Sept., asking for a form of application and further particulars of

the appointment of Professor of

Medicine in the Govt. Medical

School, Singapore; and, in reply

to your question, to inform you

that, as you state that you are

upwards of 57 years of age and

have spent 20 years in the Tropics,

I fear that there is no prospect of your being selected for the appointment should you actually

become a candidate for it.
